Celebration of Learning - Literary Charcter Parade

We had a wonderful morning of sharing and celebration for our literary unit. Room 6 shared their writing inspired by Margret Mahy and we read some of her brilliant, beloved books. Room 7 children had studied Joy Cowley. The children had gone to a lot of effort to dress up as their favourite character. A big thank you to Dylan's mum, Denise, for supplying us with the following photos.

The Vicious Shark by Daniel Keatley

The vicious shark swims in the deep blue sea. He has a Parana as a pet. He takes it for a walk around the underwater playground. Everyday he feeds it scallopshells. The Parana scoffs them then they go to bed. In the morning they both eat scallopshells.

Congratulations Room 6 on your Ag Day activities.

What a fantastic Ag Day we had on Saturday. I was so proud of our animal handlers and of the work displayed in our classroom. A very special congratulations to Greta who won Grand Champion with her calf. The judges were so impressed with how well the Juniors led their animals. A credit, I think, to the fantastic support given by our parents. Below are some photos taken of the day. They include our animal handlers plus examples of our character bottles, collections and writing.

Goldilocks. A book review by Tyla Topia Hurst

My story is called Goldilocks. This story was written by 'The Book Company'.

I liked the baby bear. He is small. I want a soft baby bear like it. I didn't like Goldilocks going in and breaking the baby bears chair.

I think boys and girls aged 4 to 7 will like this book.

Welcome to our Class Blogg

What is a blogg? Well it is like an online diary. You can post examples of work, writing, photos, videos, etc. It can be public or private and only the person with editing writes can add to the blog. You can view and make comments about our posts, but they will not be published until they have been checked and OKed by the editor (Mrs Hayman) Her hope is that we can use our blogg as a windoiw into room 6. Displaying our work, keeping everyone up to date with whats going on in our classroom and for students to include photos and experiences from their life outside of school.
